Ecosil (Silicone, MVQ)
Reddish-brown in color, Ecosil is a silicone
rubber, which can be used for O-rings, gaskets and special seals. Owing
to the poor mechanical properties, which are noticeably lower in
comparison to other rubbers, Ecosil is mostly used for static
(non-moving) applications. Ecosil is highly resistant against
weathering, ozone and ageing. The compatibility with mineral oils
depends on the content of aromatic hydrocarbons in the oil.
